A little more privacy, right in Chrome

Privacy,
kept simple.

Keep your tab switches private during Canvas quizzes and exams. Canvas Tab Shield helps prevent tab-switch entries from appearing in the activity logs your teachers can view.

What changes in
the activity log.

Canvas quiz logs can record when you leave and return to a quiz tab. Tab Shield targets those tab-switch signals.

A few useful answers

Before you open
another tab.

What does tab privacy do?

It helps you switch tabs without generating the “Stopped viewing the quiz-taking page” and “Resumed” entries that teachers can see in Canvas quiz activity logs. Your answers and submissions remain visible. It targets Canvas tab and focus signals; separate monitoring tools may behave differently.

When does a day pass expire?

Exactly 24 hours after successful payment, not at midnight. The extension shows the expiry date and time in your local time zone.

How do I restore my purchase?

Sign in with the same verified email on the website or in the extension. Your membership is linked to that account. Existing license-key purchases can be linked after signing in.

Can I change my monthly plan later?

Sign in to My account to manage billing or switch to lifetime. A lifetime switch is a separate one-time purchase; monthly renewal stops after payment is confirmed, with no prorated refund.

Does this replace my school's rules?

Use the extension in line with your institution's policies. It provides a browser privacy control and does not change your responsibilities when using Canvas.
